New Schools in the Steele Creek Area

In recent news, two new schools are expected to be built. Voters approved the building of ‘Palisades High School’, which is expected to relieve the highly populated Olympic High School. Palisades High School will be a 125 classroom high school. Construction began spring of 2020 and is expected to be open for the 2022-2023 school year. In addition to Palisades High School, on Sandy Porter Rd, a new 45 classroom elementary school will be opened in August of 2021. This school is expected to relieve and draw students from Lake Wylie Elementary, Steele Creek Elementary, Nations Ford Elementary, and Sterling Elementary School. It is unclear what the new elementary school will be named.
